Why does my result differ from my paper E6B?
Vectr uses the standard wind-triangle trigonometry and the common E6B rules of thumb (for example density altitude = pressure altitude + 118.8 × (OAT − ISA)). Paper computers are read by eye, so differences of a degree or a knot are normal. Check that both use the same units (knots vs mph, °C vs °F, inHg vs hPa) in Settings.
Why does it say the course can't be held?
When the crosswind part of the wind is stronger than your true airspeed, no heading keeps you on that course. Increase the TAS or check the wind direction and speed.
The METAR lookup fails.
Weather lookup needs an internet connection and a valid four-letter ICAO code (for example KJFK, not JFK). Some small airfields do not publish METARs. When the service cannot be reached, Vectr shows the last saved report and its time.
Does Vectr need an internet connection?
All calculators work offline. An internet connection is only needed for METAR/TAF lookups, ads in the free version, purchases and anonymous analytics.
Can I navigate with Vectr?
No. Vectr is a planning and training aid, not for primary navigation. Verify every result against your aircraft's flight manual, official weather briefings and your instruments.
Restore purchases
If you bought Vectr Pro and the ads are back (for example after reinstalling or on a new device), open the app, go to the Pro / upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase. If it does not work, email us with the approximate purchase date.
Delete data
Vectr has no account, and your saved aircraft profiles, favourite airports, cached weather reports and your settings are stored only on your device. To delete them, delete the app: touch and hold the app icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App. Reinstalling starts with a clean slate.
Anonymous analytics, crash and purchase records are held by Google Firebase and RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier. To request deletion of anything linked to your installation, email us. You can also stop ad tracking at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
